Overview
Professional aeration system design and installation for ponds and lakes of all sizes. Eliminate algae, prevent fish kills, and maintain crystal-clear water year-round.
Why Your Pond Needs Aeration
Oxygen is the most important element in your pond's ecosystem. Without adequate dissolved oxygen, organic matter accumulates as muck, algae blooms proliferate, and fish populations crash. Aeration solves all of these problems by: Breaking thermal stratification so oxygen reaches the bottom Promoting aerobic bacteria that decompose muck 5-10x faster than anaerobic processes Reducing phosphorus availability that fuels algae blooms Creating habitat conditions that support healthy fish populations Eliminating the rotten-egg sulfur odors caused by anaerobic decomposition
Subsurface (Diffused) Aeration
The most effective option for ponds deeper than 6 feet. A shore-mounted compressor pushes air through weighted airline tubing to diffuser plates on the pond bottom. Rising air bubbles create vertical circulation that mixes the entire water column.
Surface Aerators
Floating units that agitate the water surface, increasing oxygen exchange. Best for shallow ponds where subsurface systems aren't practical.
Decorative Fountains with Aeration
Combine aesthetic appeal with functional aeration. Multiple spray patterns available. Less effective than diffused aeration for deep water but excellent for visual impact.
Solar-Powered Systems
Ideal for remote locations without electrical access. Battery backup systems provide 24-hour operation. Increasingly popular for farm ponds and rural properties.
Our Process
Site assessment: Measure pond depth, area, and current oxygen levels System design: Custom-sized compressor, diffuser placement, and airline routing Installation: Shore-mounted cabinet, weighted airlines, diffuser plates positioned for optimal circulation Commissioning: System testing, flow rate calibration, and owner training Follow-up: 30-day water quality check and system adjustment
