Natural swimming pool, swim pond, natural pool, pond pool: all the same thing
"Natural swimming pool" (NSP) is the industry's technical term for a chemical-free, biologically filtered pond you swim in, so natural swimming pool, swim pond, natural pool, pond pool and swimming pond all describe one thing. Water kept clear by a planted regeneration zone and the bacteria living in its gravel instead of by chlorine. No chlorine, no liner-and-tile shell, and water that looks like a clear lake rather than a blue rectangle. What we build: natural swim ponds and natural pools, recreational ponds at acre scale for swimming, fishing and wildlife, and conversions that turn an existing chlorine pool into a pond. What we do not build: chlorine, saltwater or mineral-system pools, and no gunite, concrete-shell or fiberglass pools. If a conventional pool is what you want, we are not the right builder for you.

The Texas Hill Country: Natural Pond Paradise
The Texas Hill Country stretches across 25 counties of rolling limestone hills, spring-fed rivers, and some of the most beautiful landscapes in the state. This region, from Dripping Springs west to Kerrville and from Marble Falls south to Boerne, offers ideal conditions for natural swimming pond construction that are unmatched anywhere else in Texas.
Working with Hill Country Terrain
Hill Country construction requires understanding the region's unique geology. Limestone bedrock sits close to the surface in many areas, requiring specialized excavation equipment. However, this same limestone becomes a design asset. Local stone can be incorporated into pond edges, waterfalls, and retaining walls for an authentic Hill Country aesthetic that looks like nature placed it there. Caliche soils common in the region require proper drainage planning. Our team has decades of experience navigating these challenges, ensuring every pond is engineered for the specific soil and terrain conditions of your property.
Water Management in the Hill Country
Water conservation is essential in the Hill Country. Natural swimming ponds are inherently water-efficient. Aquatic plants shade the surface to reduce evaporation, and the closed-loop biological system eliminates water-wasting backwash cycles. Rainwater harvesting systems can supplement pond levels during dry periods, and properties with well access can tap into the Edwards Aquifer.
